White Oak as well as Walnut are two species that are holding thier own.  Hickory is also strong compared to historical trends.  The bright spot seems to be, low grade timber which is being used for flooring and firewood.  Now is the time to clean up your woods, targeting stems of poor quality and species which have historically been hard to sell.
